1) There are thrice as many blue marker as green marker. 1/4 of the blue marker were given to the boys and 136 of the blue marker were given to the girls.
1/4 of the green marker were given to the girls. Number of green markers left was 3/8 of the total number markers left.
a) how many blue markers were there at first?
b) express the number of green markers that were given away as a fraction of the number of blue markers that were given away. (simplest form)
2) The ratio of the amount of sugar in container A to the amount of sugar in container B was 5:8. When 85g of sugar was added to each container, the ratio became 2:3. What was the amount of sugar in each container?
