Having 4 wives is not the issue…

Somehow the topic about having four wives came up between amirul and myself. He asked me whether we can have more than one wife and I replied we are allowed up to four wives. To see his reaction, I further added that I might have four wives. He kept quiet for a while before decisively said no to me.

I thought wow, he must be thinking about his mother and how much the mother will be hurt or saddened if I had gotten four wives. Or so I thought.

“You cant have four wives, later you will have more daughters. One is annoying enough. If more, then they will get together and annoy me more.”
